CrowdBanger is a phone-first DJ controlled by the crowd. One host phone or PC plays connected to a Bluetooth speaker. Everyone else queues and votes — chat only if the host turns it on.

1. 1Host starts a room on the Bluetooth phone

   Open CrowdBanger on the phone already paired to the room speaker. Start a room, keep this tab in the foreground, then tap Start party once so the browser can play.

2. 2Guests join with a code or QR

   No accounts. Guests type the five-character code or scan the QR. If the host enabled chat, pick a nickname — otherwise jump straight into the queue.

3. 3Add YouTube or upload a file

   Search YouTube, paste a link, or upload mp3, m4a, or wav from the phone. Uploads play on the host — they join the queue like any other track.

4. 4Vote — the top track plays next

   Everyone votes. Highest votes win. Audio only leaves the host phone, through normal Bluetooth to the speaker.

5. 5Chat is optional

   Chat stays off unless the host turns it on when creating the room. Presence still shows who’s here. Close a party to save it and resume later from the home screen.
